Rodriguez Throws 6 TDs On Homecoming 42 - 6 Blow Out

Whitney High school went Disney for their homecoming game against Ponderosa. The Wildcats came coming off a bye week after previously losing to Del Campo in a 1 point loss 39-40.  With Hunter Rodriguez continues his passing dominance in leading Whitney with another big TD passing night with 6 on the night. That gives Rodrgiuez 34 total TD passes on the year, ranking him 8th in the nation.

Whitney would start the scoring off with a 20 yard TD pass to Jared Wilson, followed by a 2 point conversion run by Dom Watson at the 11 minute mark. 3 minutes later, Rodriguez would throw 36 yards to Justin Kraft putting the Wildcats up 15 - 0.3 minutes later again, Rodriguez and Kraft would  connect again for a 20 yard TD putting the Wildcats up 22 - in the first Quarter.

Ponderosa would hold the WIldcats in the 2nd quarter till Rodgriuez found Devin Brocchini for an 8 yard TD pass at the 2 minute mark. Whitney Intercepted Ponderosa with under a minute to go and Rodriguez would finish off the half with another 13 yard TD pass, this time to Brandon McCarter taking Whitney to 36 - 0.

The Wildcts would receive in the second half and a nice 3 minute drive ended with a 13 yard TD pass to Justin Kraft. The extra point missed and the Wildcats were up 42 - 0 at the beginning of the 3rd quarter.

With 2 minutes to go in the game Ponderosa would score a defensive touchdown. Their 2 point conversion failed, leaving the final score 42 - 6.

Whitney is now at 4 - 2 on the season and 2 - 1 in league.

They next head to Oakmont (Roseville) 2 - 4 (0 - 3) for a Capital Valley Conference match up.
