A homecoming night for the Zebras as they hosted the Foothill Mustangs with an upset on their minds. Another high scoring game for Lincoln as their offense continues to excel. On the defensive side of the ball the Zebras need to find an answer, as they lose their homecoming game 69 - 62 to Foothill.
Lincoln's defense has not held an opponent below 20 points this season, while the offense has not scored less than 42. This could come to a screeching halt next week as they face the undefeated and a dominant Placer High.
It took both teams, so time to get going, but with two minutes to go Foothill got on the board missing the extra point and taking the early 6 - 0 lead on the Zebras.
Lincoln would gallop back and take a 14 - 6 lead by mid second quarter. Both teams would trade touchdowns and would end up with the Mustangs ahead at the half 27 - 21.
In the second half, both teams forgot what defense was, as the teams traded scores back and forth. Ultimately, the Zebras could not keep up with the Mustangs and Foothill would win the horse race 69 - 62. 131 points of scoring on the night would eclipse the 116 total points in a loss to Union Mine 3 weeks before.
Lincoln (5-3) 2-1 will travel up the hill to Placer next Friday night for a 7:30 pm start time.
