Cobras 7th Graders Heading To 'Second Season'

ANTELOPE-- The Cobras of Cooley Middle School traveled for their match up against the Antelope Crossing Cougars in the seventh grade boys volleyball season finale on April 30.

Cooley jumped to an early lead in game one led by solid play from Andrew Nethaway, Ian Stauffer,Trevor Martig, and Ryan Szekula.

The 25-17 set win was followed up by an impressive 25-19 match victory finished off by stellar play from Phillip Elchemali, Michael Khudyakov, and Chase Meniatis.

The second set was highlighted by a match winning spike from Meniatis.

The victory on Thursday helped the Cobras to a 7-3 overall record, good enough to get them into volleyball's "second season".

The playoff tournament is this Tuesday, May 5 and have the top four teams battling for the Championship and Banner. Cooley, Olympus, Silverado, & tournament host Buljan.

Cobras defeat Eich in 7th Grade Volleyball

On Tuesday April 28th - the Cooley Middle School Cobra's met the Eich Middle School Wildcat's for a 7th grade volleyball matchup.

The first Game started out strong for Cooley as Trevor Martig served up 11 straight points to put the Cobra's on top and give Cooley a lead they would never relinquish in the 25-7 Victory.

In game 2 Cooley was led by Chase Meniatis with several powerful spikes for points including the final game winner in the Decisive Match Victory. Well Played Cooley Cobras, Well played.
